Kia Sedona reclaims title as no.1 used large MPV

Tuesday, 15 March 2005

The nation's favourite MPV, the Kia Sedona has once again won over the judges of the Auto Express Used Car Honours 2005 in conjunction with Glass's Guide to claim the top spot in the Large MPV category award for the third time in four years.

The Sedona beat off tough competition to finish ahead of the Citroën C8 and Renault Espace, reclaiming the Large MPV crown after a commendation in 2004 and two wins in 2002 and 2003.

The judges confirmed that "what it offers is exceptional value for money - a truly huge car for the amount of money you pay, with excellent equipment levels, low running costs and friendly no-nonsense servicing."

Receiving the award, David McCluskey, Used Car Remarketing Manager said: "We are delighted that the Sedona has reclaimed this award. It reinforces our ongoing commitment to offer used vehicle customers the same levels associated with buying a new car - high quality, reliability and unbeatable value.

"Kia is also working alongside the dealer network to ensure growth of the brand and the feedback from the judges is that buyers are consistently impressed with our friendly and localised dealer network."

The Kia Sedona remains the nation's favourite new MPV outselling established rivals Chrysler and Ford with 409 retail units sold until the end of February.

Kia's award winning Sorento received a commendation in the 4x4 off-road category.

The Auto Express Used Car Honours 2005 are judged according to depreciation, whole life costs, reliability, practicality, market sentiment, road test reports and driver feedback.
