- Breaks on ITV on Sunday 6 February
- Ad feature rappers Grandmaster Melle Mel and Scorpio
- Kia also launching Red Nose Day campaign
Kia Motors (UK) Ltd is breaking its new TV campaign for the stylish and fun Sportage on ITV from Sunday 6 February.
The stunning crossover SUV was launched late last year and to show off its urban credentials the campaign features Melvin Glover - Grandmaster Melle Mel - and Eddie Morris - Scorpio - rapping their iconic track "The Message".
The style of the film is upbeat and fun and clearly displays the suitability of the Sportage in an urban environment. It communicates Sportage is now available with two-wheel-drive and of course Kia's 7 year warranty - the simplest and clearest warranty on the market - and shows the driver having fun whilst going about his daily routine - but with a twist!
The TV campaign is also designed to reinforce the "A Bit More Adventurous" press, poster and online campaign that has been running recently to introduce Sportage.
The new commercial was created by Innocean Worldwide (Australia) and was edited by david and Goliath London.
Kia has also begun its press, online and radio campaign to highlight its supporting partnership of Red Nose Day 2011. The spoof campaign - "Great Car Boot Sale" - offers boots for sale complete with a free car - but is tag-lined "If only our jokes were as good as our offers". National press executions will run from 9 February until Red Nose Day on 18 March.
Kia dealers up and down the country will also be joining in the fun and helping to raise more than £100,000 for Comic Relief.
